EarthAngels of Finland
Its focus is to educate immigrants, students, youth and indigenous Finnish people of all ages, about the achievements of Black Americans. We produce yearly events focusing on the unknown history and contributions of Black Americans and people of color who are descendants of enslaved people of the trans Atlantic slave trade.
With the advent of the “Black Lives Matter” movement, the founder, Aria Arai noticed an opportunity to bring to the forefront the achievements of people of color to an untapped audience. Exposing this information is especially important to pass on to the next generation because it increases self-esteem of marginalized people whose history has been diminished or actually erased. This knowledge also helps the indigenous population’s acceptance of people who are perceived as people who have not contributed to the advancement of humanity.
We produce yearly high quality, informational events during the month of February, which is when the official Black American History Month, which was founded in the United States, is celebrated. “SAY IT LOUD” BLACK HISTORY MONTH IN FINLAND, is the brainchild of Black American California expat, Aria Arai.
This organization’s main function is to bring people together so that integration is a smoother process. This can help only happen through the education of the aforementioned target groups. People need to install the emotion of understanding. Through workshops, seminars, documentaries, and open events aimed at youth, this will be achieved. We all need to be involved to effectively improve the quality of life for all marginalized people.
