Art House Turku will expand operations over the next two years with the Digital Art House project as an actor in the virtual world and as an international actor. Ville Laaksonen will start as project coordinator in February. He has worked with art, i.e. as curator, critic, artist and in organizational development tasks. In his work, he has focused on international activities, changes in the field of art, and carried out a large number of different projects where art has reached new audiences – also in virtual environments. In addition to art, his background includes work experience in brand and product development, as well as marketing duties in digital growth in the field of international EdTech.

Digital Art House project is divided to two parts

The digital and serving Art House develops a common service path for the customer’s use of the Art House website, even when there are several products from different suppliers (tickets, products, etc.).

The virtual Art House part will be expanded to the metaverse, where the Art House wants to be visible also in a completely digital operating environment for artists, creative industry operators and customers. Art House creates a platform and ensures that the actors have the technical and operational ability to work in a virtual environment.

The Finnish National Opera and Ballet, Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences, the Aura of Puppets network and the Culture Campus Turku are involved in the project collaboration.

The project is financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
