The exhibition celebrates the 25 years of Jenni Tuominen as an artist as well as her 50th birthday. Jenni is happy to hold this celebration in her original home town of Turku. We are offered a peek at Jenni´s areas of interest and sources of inspiration – from earthy female characters to a flickering line, and the happenstances that occur while working. The exhibition features ceramics, drawings, and paintings.
Visual artist, illustrator and designer Jenni Tuominen (b. 1976) lives and works in Porvoo. She loves to work in the fields of art and design.
Jenni´s versatile style is gentle, touchy and playful. She is passionate about shaping ceramic sculptures and figures. Her favourite techniques also include drawing and painting. She gets inspired by surrounding nature and everyday life.
Jenni Tuominen’s works have been exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions mainly in Finland and Japan. Her works are included in various private and public collections. She is the winner of the 2006 Marimekko design competition. Since that she has been designing many modern age classic patterns for the company. Jenni received honored Finnish State Prize for Illustration in 2017.
