CLAYDATE: Bowls and Bubbles

Paint a bowl, enjoy delicious food & raise a toast to spring.

The most delicious ceramic experiences of spring come to life at Event Kitchen. During the evening, you will paint your own unique ceramic bowl or mug under the guidance of ceramic artist Sanna Leinonen. Your piece becomes a fully usable, everyday ceramic item that reflects your personal style. The workshop uses pre-cast Clayroom models, and a wide selection of engobe colours will be available for painting. The pieces will be fired and finished with a clear glaze by the instructor.

At the beginning of the session, you will enjoy a seasonal three-course menu prepared by the Event Kitchen, where fresh local ingredients are combined into vibrant and playful flavour pairings. The food is prepared by Event Kitchen host and chef Jouni Kuru, known from Kustavin Kipinä and as the organiser of the Food & Fun Festival. The experience also includes a glass of bubbly (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) to set the mood.

Your finished piece can be picked up from the Clayroom studio approximately 4–5 weeks after the course. The final item is food, dishwasher and microwave safe.

No prior experience is needed – just come as you are.

The price includes instruction, all materials, firing, glazing, as well as food and a glass of bubbly (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).
Wine and other beverages will be available for purchase during the course.
