Turku Cathedral Parish
Turku Cathedral Parish is a community where history and the present day stand side by side. It accompanies the people of Turku in both everyday life and festive moments, offering a place to pause, meet others, and grow. At the heart of the parish is Finland’s national shrine, Turku Cathedral – a landmark whose more than 700-year story continues to shape the life of the city.
In the coming years, the cathedral will undergo extensive renovations and will be closed from 9 February 2026 to 2 December 2028. During this period, parish activities are relocated to various temporary venues, yet the spiritual life and sense of community will continue with the same warmth. Some activities and workspaces will also be located at the Art House.
Within Turku Cathedral Parish, faith, community, culture, and history come together. The parish offers worship services, music, diaconal work, events, and spaces for stillness and reflection. We gladly collaborate with other organizations and build networks that benefit both locals and visitors.
