The future of culture begins NOW

NextGeneration EU-funded Digital Art House project expands the activities of the Cultural Centre as a pioneer of digital and international activities in the Finnish cultural ecosystem.

The Digital Art House focuses on serving the public and cultural professionals from a service design perspective. The project promotes the capacity of the Art House community and cultural operators, for example by organising training, demos and workshops, creating skills to operate in digital environments. New services to be launched in autumn 2024 will include an online shop for events, services and products directly from the House of Arts website.

The CULTURHUB concept focuses especially on expanding the international and digital cooperation network, for which the House of Arts’ membership in the Trans Europe Halles network creates a strong basis. The core functionality of CULTURHUB will be built around a digital co-residency activity, which will expand during the metaverse 2025. The community will be open to all arts and culture professionals, as well as representatives of organisations.

The Virtual Art House will be a non-physical event and meeting place to be launched in early 2025. It will enable the public to experience culture in a fully digital way, anywhere, anytime. For cultural professionals, the virtual environment will enable a whole new range of ways of presenting and digitally producing art.
