Dressed for Dinner is the first joint exhibition of visual artist Antti Eklund and Estonian jewellery designer Sigrid Kuusk, which delves into the rights of farmed animals through pop art. The theme of the exhibition has given rise to a debate on ethical food production and ethical choices, led by journalist Lassi Lähteenmäki.
Discussants include animal philosopher Elisa Aaltola, artist Antti Eklund, a mother involved in the food chain, ELY Centre expert Hilkka Halla and Smör’s award-winning chef Mikko Pakola. The discussion will be held in Finnish.
The discussion will take place in the middle of the exhibition, which will open to the public on Friday 14 June at 11 am.
The event is part of the Well Said project. Well Said is a five-year project led by Yle and the Timeout Foundation, which aims to strengthen the best aspects of Finnish debate culture and create safe debate environments through a wide network of partners.
