The Path of Light is a light art spectacle arranged by the City of Turku. It consists of a great light event and seasonal lighting on display throughout the darkest winter season. The inspiration for the Path of Light was drawn from Turku itself, its stories, atmosphere and the surrounding landscapes.

CHECK THIS – TUOMO LEHIKOINEN

With more than two decades of experience in organising events, Tuomo Lehikoinen is a multi-expert in event production. Check This is Lehikoinen’s debut piece in light art, and it has already been presented at several events around Finland. The work is based on ultraviolet lights and fluorescent wires.

This year, all the works featured in the light art event will be situated along the River Aura, above it or, for the first time, within the river itself. The river, its surroundings and the open views create the best possible setting for the 17 works that are included this time.

Artworks featured in the Path of Light will again be complemented by a diverse supplementary programme. The four-day Path of Light will take place in Turku around Independence Day, from 5 to 8 December 2024.
