Water is a source of myths and stories. In my artwork, I explore humanity’s timeless connections to nature, interspecies equality, and themes of vulnerability and healing. I wonder whether mythology can provide a new understanding of the interaction between humans and nature in relation to environmental crises and biodiversity loss. I explore the spectrum of human emotions ranging from longing to hope, yearning to solace, anxiety to tranquility, deception to trust, and fear to courage.

In the exhibition, you’ll find large charcoal drawings on display. Drawing is a sensory-rich experience, immersing the artist in immediate perception through observation, movement, touch, and sight.

My work highlights charcoal as a material and its diverse applications in art. Charcoal is borrowed from nature’s own cycle—it’s taken from there and returns.
