ASSOCIATION OF NEW DESIGN
In 1964, the Swedish press commented on the collaboration between Timo Sarpaneva and Kestilä with the phrase “Varför Paris, vi har ju Åbo”®. This was a reference to the design expertise found in Turku. The Association of New Design has registered the phrase as a trademark and wants to spread the good news of design throughout the city.
The Association of New Design is a forum for design encounters. Wherever there is life, there is always a need for design. We connect design professionals and users and create a society that is more functional and experiential.
We organise design events, workshops and networking events.
